From forty sketches to one mark — the Unads identity

The Unads logo started as a notepad full of hand-drawn UN ligatures. Notes from the exploration.

Before a single vector was placed, the Unads mark lived on paper — rows of UN ligatures, counters and cut shapes, drawn fast and judged slowly. The notepad from that session is on this site, photographed exactly as it happened.

The final mark — the infinity-loop UN — came from row four. It survived because it worked at every size we tested and still read as 'un' at a glance.

The lesson we keep relearning: volume first, taste second, vectors last.
